Clubs are at the heart of badminton in Scotland. Badmintonscotlands’s Development team work across clubs and partners to grow the sport and develop a strong and sustainable clubs infrastructure. We are currently writing a club strategy which will direct the focus for club badminton across Scotland over the next 5 – 10 years. Volunteers across clubs in Scotland will be involved in the research and consultation phase.
Supporting clubs to be strong and sustainable is key to growing the sport.
Our Club Development workshops are delivered across 4 regions: Tayside and Fife, West, Grampian and Highlands and give clubs the opportunity to expand their knowledge on certain topics including governance, social media, recruiting volunteers and funding. At each workshop there will also be presentations from clubs on areas of good practice and an opportunity to network with other clubs.
Dates for workshops 2017/18 coming soon.
The development team are currently creating a club support package which will assist clubs to grow and develop to become strong and sustainable.
