Total BWF World Championships 2017

Glasgow’s Emirates Arena will be the home to the TOTAL BWF World Championships being held from Monday 21 – Sunday 27 August 2017.

The World Championships is the most prestigious tournament in the sport, rivalled only by the Olympic Games. Indeed the World Championships attracts a stronger overall entry than the Olympic Games with bigger draws in all events.

BADMINTONscotland has already organised and hosted several global events including the World Individual Championships and Sudirman Cup Mixed Team Championships in 1997 as well as the 2007 Sudirman Cup.

The TOTAL BWF World Championships promises to be one of the highlights of the global sporting calendar and is being delivered by BADMINTONscotland in partnership with Glasgow Life/Glasgow City Council and with funding support from EventScotland and UK Sport.
