The Scottish National Badminton Championships 2023 brought together the best players from across the country from 3-5 February at the National Badminton Academy, Scotstoun Sports Campus, Glasgow.
There were five events over the course of the weekend, culminating in the crowning of the National Champions on the afternoon of Sunday 5 February.
Well done to all players involved – a record 136 competitors across the five disciplines.
What was particularly pleasing for Badminton Scotland CEO, Keith Russell, was the depth of quality on show at Scotstoun, something he is confident augurs well for the future of our sport in Caledonia.
He said: “The quality of the top end of badminton in Scotland, and the number of positive comments I have had from people who have been around badminton for a good while in this respect stating they have never known us to have this high-line of talent, was really pleasing”.
A special thank you to spectators, volunteers, officials and line judges who helped the event run smoothly.
