Joshua Apiliga and Adam Pringle 2016 QuadrangularAdam Pringle is chasing three titles when the Yonex France Under 17 Championships get under way in Aire sur la Lys near St Omer tomorrow.

Pringle is top seed in the boys’ singles and he and Joshua Apiliga also start as favourites in the doubles as Adam looks to follow up his two titles at the Swedish Under 17s a few weeks ago when he won the singles title and secured the doubles with Joshua.

In the mixed doubles Pringle is second seed with Rachel Andrew as the young Scotland squad look for more success this season.

Apiliga is seeded fourth in the singles and third seed in the mixed with Rachel Sugden.

Rachel, who reached her first senior semi-final at the Yonex Scottish National Championships in Perth earlier this month, is third seed in the girls’ singles while Rachel Cameron is sixth seed. Alice Campbell is also competing in the girls’ singles and partners Sugden in the doubles.

Sugden reached the girls' singles final in Sweden and also came through to the semi-finals of the mixed with Joshua.

In the girls’ doubles Andrew and Cameron are third seeds.

The tournament begins tomorrow with matches played up to and including the quarter-finals. On Sunday the semi-finals are in the morning, followed by the finals.
