Alex Dunn and Adam Hall sealed their maiden international title as a pair with men’s doubles victory at the Irish Open.
Dunn and Hall, seeded third in Dublin, defeated fourth seeds and home favourites Joshua and Sam Magee in three games, prevailing 21-15 6-21 21-10.
The Scots had taken first blood in the final, winning seven consecutive points on their way to winning the first game, though they needed two game points to seal the deal.
But the Irish duo came back fighting in the second game, proving too strong as Dunn and Hall struggled to contain them.
The Magees scored 13 points on the trot on their way to levelling the scores, but Dunn and Hall controlled from the very off in the deciding game.
They needed no invitation to bounce back to winning form, wrapping up the victory in style as they cruised to the win, needing just 36 minutes in total to do so.
