Alex Dunn and Adam Hall reached the semi-finals of the men’s doubles at the Li Ning Czech Open at the weekend.
A convincing 21-17 21-14 quarter-final win over French fourth seeds Bastian Kersaudy and Julien Maio put the Scots within touching distance of the final, but their path was blocked by Ben Lane and Sean Vendy.
The English pair took victory with a 21-16 21-10 scoreline which gave Vendy some revenge for his first round defeat by Hall and Ciara Torrance in the mixed doubles.
Hall and Torrance had followed that victory up with another good win over Danish pair Lasse Molhede and Lina Norgaard, winning a hard-fought battle 21-17 10-21 21-11.
That win pitted Hall against Kersaudy and Lea Palermo in the quarter-finals, with the French pair squeezing through 21-18 23-21.
