Jack MacGregor is the last Scot standing at the Yonex Lithuanian International being held in Kaunas this week.
MacGregor and English partner Avinash Gupta have a match against Danish qualifiers Peter Correl and Andreas Fleischer tomorrow, after they battled through men's doubles qualifying themselves today.
The Anglo-Scottish duo were the beneficiaries of a walkover to reach the second round of men’s doubles qualifying, where they came from a game behind to win 16-21 21-17 21-13 against Danish pair Philip Henriksen and Nicolaj Wolf.
But Adam and Ciar Pringle missed out on joining them in the main draw, going out after a close 21-19 23-21 loss to Azerbaijan’s Ade Resky Dwicahyo and Azmy Qowimuramadhoni.
Gupta and Basia Grodynska formed another Anglo-Scottish partnership in the mixed doubles but lost out in today's first round, going out courtesy of a 21-13 21-15 defeat by Ukraine's Artem Tkachuk and Anna Mikhalkova.
A difficult day yesterday also saw MacGregor and both Pringles bowed out of the men’s singles qualifying draw, while Toni Woods lost in the second round of the women’s singles qualifying.
MacGregor and Gupta are scheduled to play tomorrow at 15.10hrs local time.
