Fresh from their medal success in Ireland, the Scottish Para-Badminton team were back on the road again, this time to the newly refurbished sportscotland Centre at Inverclyde. They were treated to an overnight stay in the new residential block where all rooms are fully accessible with stunning views; and granted free access to training courts on Tuesday and Wednesday. The team were one of many sports there to receive a Royal visit from His Royal Highness, The Earl of Wessex, Patron of BADMINTONscotland. As a great supporter of BADMINTONscotland and frequent guest at the Scottish Open Grand Prix we were very keen to speak to him about Para-Badminton. Players engaged in discussions about classifications as well as recent successes in tournaments and our hopes for Scottish Paralympians in Tokyo 2020. Thank you to John Kent and Viki Nocker from Inverclyde for organising such a great event and superb hospitality.
