Applications now open for Pathway Club Programme

We are excited to announce that applications are open for year 2 of the Pathway Club Programme, enabling Badminton Scotland to add to the 11 pathway clubs that are already in place.

The Pathway Club Programme has been running for a full season.  Following a review with current pathway clubs, Badminton Scotland have made some key adaptions to the programme as we aim to build on the successes of the first year and address some of the more challenging areas that year one of a project can bring.

The clubs already part of the Pathway Club Programme and will remain in year 2 are:

City of Glasgow BC
Wing BC
Aberdeen Badminton Academy
Erskine BC
Nefba Jaguars
Orkney Junior BC
Caithness BC
Glasgow Chinese BC
Forthside BC
Cults BC
Inverness City BC

The aims of the programme have remained the same, but the support mechanisms and infrastructure has been developed.  The key change is that club coaches will receive a bespoke support programme based on their current needs.

All the information on the programme can be found in the club information pack, which clubs should read before applying.

Glasgow City Badminton Club said “The programme has been a great support to us and we look forward to seeing how this programme will develop in the future.”

The pathway club application form can be found here

The closing date for applications is the 14th of June.

If you would like an informal discussion about the programme, please speak with you Regional Development Officer or contact Lyndsay Morrison, Head of Engagement
