Aileen Travers
President
I have played badminton since I was 12 years of age and still continue to play veterans events as I still really enjoy competing.
I have been involved in local clubs and committees for many years now and as I retire soon from my dental business I hope to be able to give more time back to the game I love and help the sport expand and develop.

Julie Hogg
Vice President
Hello to the Badminton Community, I am Julie the new Vice President of BADMINTONScotland.
I am a professional badminton coach with over 30 years’ experience in the sport to which I love. I am the National Junior Lead Coach for U13/15/17 age groups in Scotland. I am lead coach in the Regional Performance Programme in the Edinburgh Badminton Academy. My passion is coaching especially in our junior pathway, but I also have a real passion for coaching athletes in Para Sport which I do and love in my own area of Fife.
As a player I have represented my Country at International Junior Level, International Master level and Midland County level.
As an International Coach and Manager, I have coached and managed both junior and senior squads at Commonwealth Games in India, Commonwealth Youth Games in Isle of Man, Uber and Thomas Cups, European Junior Championships U17 and U19, World Junior Championships in Thailand, U15 British Quadrangular.
As a person, I have a real passion to develop players and nurture them to their full potential and give them an insight into the sport, the friendships that can be made and the fun to which sport brings to us all.
I am a mother to my daughter Tulisa, an Aunty to my niece Brooke Stalker who is an Institute funded athlete and a twin to my sister Karen Stalker, National Junior Coach.
I am the Chairperson to the Russell Hogg Trust, which supports athletes to achieve their dreams.
I love walking, going to the gym, being a mum, and when I have time, I like to explore Feng Shui.
It is an honour to be given this position in BADMINTONScotland and I so look forward to working with the Badminton Community going forward.
Hope to see many of you soon.
Julie
