Since 2008, Tournament Software has been Badminton Scotland’s system for organising competitions, supporting online entry, storing and displaying results, managing rankings, sending competition-related emails and everything else that makes competitions go smoothly for our players.

In June 2023, we introduced our own Tournament Software site, click on the image below to have a look:

Badminton Scotland Tournament Software Site | Badminton Scotland

Although familiar to regular users, it will make things easier for everyone:

  • Helps you find all Scottish Competitions in one place.
  • Provides easy access to the ranking list.
  • It’s integrated with our membership system JustGo, data changes are fed through to TS.
  • It reduces Badminton Scotland workload with better reporting, automated membership checks and reduced duplication.
  • Cleaner and better data for everyone involved in badminton.
  • Lays the foundation for further improvement.

Tournament Software (TS) is our system for organising competitions and JustGo (JG) is our membership system. Information stored on JG is fed through into TS, details like:

  • Personal Information: Name, Date of Birth, Competition Gender, Email, Phone, Address.
  • Other Information: Regional Group, Playing Nationality, Tournament ID.

Only the member and a few of our full-time team can see a member’s personal information.

TS works mostly the same as before. The first time you log into TS, you may need to reset/request a new password, this is because many duplicate profiles were merged. We don’t anticipate any issues navigating TS, however if you run into any problems, please contact us.

We hope everyone will enjoy playing in competitions, but we understand that not all of our members will do so. You only need to create a TS profile to enter competitions and you can do this at any time.

How you access the site will depend on whether you already have an account on TS, as well as whether you already have an account on JG. Please see below for notes on what to do for the various situations we anticipate.

It is important to note that although your membership and tournament information are integrated, you still need a separate log in for both systems.

If you already have an account on TS, your existing login and password will still work and you shouldn’t have any issues accessing the system. If you are an active member, your personal information will have been synchronised between the systems. Your JG account needs an active membership to feed your information through to TS and also to enter competitions on TS. If you have forgotten your username or password, there are ‘Forgot Username’ and ‘Forgot Password’ options you can click to gain access.

Note that due to a number of duplicate profiles being identified and merged on TS, it may be that your previous TS login does not work. If this is the case for you, all you need to do is re-verify your details. You can do this by clicking the ‘sign up’ button on the login page and confirming your Member ID, Date of Birth and Gender. Your Member ID will be your SC number.

If you can’t remember whether you have a TS and/or JG account, or having issues with the above, please contact us before creating a new profile.

An active membership is needed to enter all TS competitions online, you will need to register and become a member of Badminton Scotland. To do this, please see the instructions listed below under ‘I don’t have a TS or JG account‘. Once you have done this, please contact us so we can link your accounts.

Before being able to access TS, you will need to verify your details. To do this, please see here. You will need to enter your Member ID (ME followed by 6 digits), date of birth and competing gender, as is listed on your JG profile. You will need to have an active membership on JG in order to enter tournaments online. For instructions on how to become an active member, please see below.

If you’re unable to verify your details, it may be because your information was previously entered into TS for a past tournament, which means you will have an SC number linked to your account. In this case, please contact us so we can assist.

First create an account on our membership system JG, then verify your details on TS. Everyone should have an active membership on JG before accessing TS for the first time. Please check with your club secretary that you don’t already have an account on JG and an active membership. If it turns out you do already have an account on JG which was created by your club secretary, you can gain access to it by selecting the ‘Recover Profile’ option on the login page and entering your ME number (your club secretary will know this). From there, you can update your membership and become an active member, if required.

For instructions on how to register on JG, become an active member and access TS, see below:

  1. Access the login page of JustGo.
  2. Click to sign-up, enter your information and click register. Please keep a note of your login information.
  3. Your profile will load. Select the ‘Member Details’ tab near the top of the page.
  4. Under the ‘Additional details’ section, select your ‘Group’ and ‘Playing Nationality’ from the options provided. Do not worry about the greyed-out box titled ‘Tournament ID’, this will be completed for you.
  5. Scroll to the top of the page and select the ‘Membership’ tab, next to the ‘Member Details’ tab.
  6. Select a membership category. For most, this will be ‘Individual Member’.
  7. Choose a membership option (Member, Trial Membership, etc).
  8. Proceed to the checkout when you are ready and complete.
  9. Your information will now feed through to Tournament Software (Note it may take ten minutes for the update process to complete). To access the site, please click here.
  10. Enter your Member ID, Birthdate and Competing Gender. Your member ID will begin with ‘ME’ followed by six numbers and can be found on your JustGo profile.

You only need one active membership, of any kind (Member, Coach, Court Official, etc.) for online tournament entry.

To enter a tournament online, follow the instructions below:

  1. Login to TS.
  2. On the side menu, click ‘Tournaments’.
  3. Enter the name of the competition you wish to enter in the search bar.
  4. From the results, find the competition and click online entry

If you need to update your personal information on TS, please log on to your JG account and make the necessary changes. Note that you need to be an active member in order for any changes to go through.

Login to JustGo and access your profile. Beneath your display picture and name there should be the name and expiry date of your current membership. If this is empty, it means you don’t have an active membership. See instructions for getting membership above.

Alternatively, you can also go to the ‘Membership’ tab to see your active membership/s. You can click on the membership category (e.g. Individual Member) for further information on active as well as expired memberships.

If your club normally handles your membership, check with your club secretary.

Please note, all Junior Regional Performance Squad players have active memberships.

Our membership year is from 1st August to 31st July and your membership needs to be current for the duration of the competition to enter online. Entry for competitions in August normally opens and closes in July to allow time for seeding and making draws, so by the time you renew membership (or it auto-renews on 1st August), the entry window may have closed.

If this happens, please go ahead and renew your membership early. This can be done from 1st July. Doing this will push your membership’s expiry and auto-renewal date (if set) forward until 31st July the following year (e.g. Renewing on 1st July 2023, membership expiry date will set to 31st July 2024), so you will be able to enter the competition in August without issue.

Many of our members have auto-renew set up. If you have as well, then you would manually renew your membership by following the steps below:

  1. Access your JustGo account.
  2. In ‘My Profile’ go to the ‘Membership’ tab.
  3. Locate and select the membership you wish manually renew. Note that you will not be able to do this until 1st July. If you are attempting this before then, information on the membership card will state how much time remains until this option is available to you.
  4. Go through to the checkout and complete.
  5. You can now enter your competition using Tournament Software (Note it may take ten minutes for the update process to complete). If you have any questions or issues, please contact us.

If you have taken out membership in June, please get in touch with us and we will happily extend your membership into the next season, giving you two months free. At the moment we have no plans to pro-rata membership or move to an annual cycle.

Membership is included in the charge for the RPS, so as long as you are part of the RPS set-up you don’t need to buy membership yourself or through your club(s). Again, any issues please get in touch.

If you find yourself in this situation, please contact us. If possible within the rules of this membership, we will be able to extend the length of your trial to include your first competition.
