Badminton Scotland have launched The Badminton Scotland Channel on subscription-free sports and entertainment streaming platform, Recast, for the EMTCQ 2022.
Our channel will provide you with live coverage from the event, which is being held at the National Badminton Academy, Scotstoun in Glasgow from 15-18 December 2022.
Recast’s unique microtransactional model uses an in-platform credit system, ‘cast credits’. Badminton fans can purchase casts as well as earn them by watching adverts, sharing content or inviting friends to join. The platform allows viewers to watch the matches they want without committing to a subscription.
Numerous high-profile sports organisations have joined Recast to broadcast their events, including the DP World Tour, the European Cricket Network, The Curling Channel, Beach Soccer and English Premier League football club, Manchester City.
A one-time purchase of any match allows you to gain unlimited on-demand access to re-watch the video. Teams and fans can also benefit by receiving affordable access to the sport, whilst being rewarded for sharing and promoting the streams with cast credits.
Funds generated through this pay-per-view system allow Badminton Scotland to begin producing high-quality match coverage.
Keith Russell, CEO of Badminton Scotland said: “We are excited to be working with streaming platform Recast who are delivering an innovative solution allowing us to increase Badminton coverage not only in Scotland but across the globe.
We are embracing this unique and flexible platform and hope to expand and enhance the coverage of our sport by giving you affordable access to live game play – starting with footage from the European Mixed Team Championships Qualifier from 15 to 18 December for just one pound per match”.
Replays of the EMTCQ2022 will be available on the Badminton Scotland Channel, and fans will soon find new content there.
Sign up for Recast to receive 25 free credits and begin watching the sports you love. To earn extra Casts to watch content, you can watch ads, share content, invite friends, or purchase Cast Credits (one Cast Credit = 1p) using Recast’s unique microtransaction model.
