Scottish Chinese Games (Huai Xia Cup): Round Up

A great Easter Weekend was had by all at the 2023 Scottish Hua Xia Cup, held at the Oriam Sports Hall in Edinburgh on 8 and 9 April.

We were delighted to see over 80 participants involved in the badminton activity (which was one of four sports played at this year’s Chinese games: badminton, basketball, football and table tennis).

Well done to all 10 teams and congratulations to the winners 小人物大能量 (small people and huge energy).

Badminton Scotland president, Carolyn Young and Edinburgh Consul General, Mme Hou Danna attended the games and presented the medals:

• 1^st Place: 小人物大能量 (small people and huge energy)
• 2^nd Place: ECBC1
• 3^rd Place: 爱羽一队 (Ai Yu Team 1)
• 4^th Place: 爱会消失对不队 (Love don’t disappear Team)
• 5^th Place: 爱羽 2 (Ai Yu Team 2)
• 6^th Place: ECBC2
• 7^th Place: 格拉随便队 (Glasgow Social Team)
• Three teams together in 8^th Place: 无名队 (None Name Team)，破风队 (Broken Wind Team)，爱羽3队 (Ai Yu Team 3)

Thank you to the organisers and volunteers who made this event run smoothly and ensured everyone had a great time playing and socialising.
