The Sir Craig Reedie Badminton Centre is located in Govan at 12 Bogmoor Place, Glasgow G51 4TQ, close to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The centre comprises six badminton courts and has served the local community since 1980, when Sir Craig Reedie originally identified the former paint factory as an ideal location for a new sports facility, project managing the conversion of the building into a thriving hub of Scottish badminton.
In 2014, thanks to a £150,000 grant from sportscotland, the national agency for sport, and £50,000 from Biffa Award, the facility underwent a major refurbishment which included a new high performance sprung floor, state-of-the-art competition lighting and new improved changing and shower facilities.
Originally called the Cockburn Centre, it was renamed to the Sir Craig Reedie Badminton Centre following the refurbishments in honour of the man who drove the original project forward.
The Centre is home to more than 400 members and 20 clubs and you can visit the website by clicking here
