LGBTIQ+ | Equality, Diversity & Inclusion | Badminton Scotland

Badminton Scotland is a member of the National LGBTI Sports Group, chaired by LEAP Sports since November 2023. This group exists to have a strategic overview of matters of LGBTI equality within sport in Scotland.

90% of LGBTIQ+ in 2019 believed that homophobia and transphobia remain current problems in sport (Out in the Fields).

Badminton Scotland believes providing accessible and inclusive opportunities to play badminton locally is key to engaging with LGBTIQ+ people, and we are keen to ensure all our affiliated clubs are committed to this.
