Scottish Cup 2023/24
Badminton Scotland is delighted to announce the return of its premier inter club competition, The Scottish Cup.
The Scottish Cup is the pinnacle of club badminton and attracts teams from all corners of Scotland. The competition is an exciting prospect for affiliated clubs who will have the opportunity to go on cup runs, play competitively against other teams and develop match play skills.
Carolyn Young, President of Badminton Scotland said:
“It was really pleasing to see a successful Scottish Cup competition last season, congratulations again to County BC. Lots of great feedback from those who participated in terms of competition and atmosphere as clubs progressed. I look forward to what should be another great event.”
The initial stages of the competition will be played in group areas with the winning clubs from the groups going through to an exciting national knock out stage. This will be followed by finals with location and venues to be confirmed.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Glasgow School of Sport (GSOS), the only designated National Centre of Excellence for Sport in Scotland, who have provided a trophy on behalf of a number of past players who generously donated a cup to be used for a future tournament – that tournament has been chosen and it will be The Scottish Cup.
Players involved in donating the trophy are: Chris Grimly, Matt Grimley, Sarah Sidebottom, Adam Pringle, Eleanor O’Donnell, Toni Woods and Ciara Torrance.
Badminton Scotland would like to thank clubs for engaging with this new, exciting competition which puts club badminton at the forefront of what we do.
