About the role
Position: Administration Assistant
Contract: Fixed term for 1 year
Hours: Part time – 21 hours / week
Location: Hybrid working. Home / Office (40 Bogmoor Place, Glasgow, G51 4TQ)
Salary: Glasgow Living Wage: £10.90 / hour

Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Administration Team to support us with essential admin processes which help Badminton Scotland run smoothly. If you are an organised person with a good eye for detail, why not put your invaluable skills to good use and
support Scotland’s Badminton community by becoming an essential player within our Team.
Day to day you will:
- Assist Badminton Scotland’s Head of Finance and wider team with administrative tasks relating to departmental objectives and tasks.
- Work alongside a progressive team who work to develop the sport across Scotland
- Learn important administrative skills related to planning and management of teams, coach
education and events - Assist the admin processes within the Coach Education programme
- Support the Regional Development Officers
- Assist the organisation and delivery of Major Events
- The core hours of the position are 21 per week, with possibly some additional requirements at peak times or during the Major Events. Mainly Monday to Friday with possibly some weekend and evening work, although there is flexibility to adjust hours to suit.
- Badminton Scotland offer a blended working environment, meaning that although the role is office based there is the opportunity to work from home for part of/or all of the week. The schedule of office/home working will be agreed with the Head of Finance and Head of Engagement.
- Badminton Scotland will provide the employee with a laptop and Office365 licence pre-installed (for the duration of the programme). It is expected that the employee will have access to reliable stable internet to allow working from home.
- The role holder will receive 1 to 1 support and mentorship on balancing flexible hours and work-life balance.

Knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications
We would love if you have the following:
- Good level of IT and keyboard skills
- Adequate literacy skills to produce letters and emails
- The ability to deal with athletes, customers, suppliers, volunteers and colleagues respectfully
- Able to maintain confidentiality as you may be handling personal and
sensitive information - Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications (full training will be
provided for each process) - Time management and attention to detail is essential
- Good verbal and communication skills
- A knowledge of Badminton would be helpful for this role, but is not essential
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes to learn and grow within the role
- A positive attitude and ability to maintain a friendly and supportive demeanour
