Arthur Campbell
“Most of you may already have heard of the passing of Arthur Campbell last week following a brave battle with Motor Neurone Disease. Nomads Badminton Club will always be indebted to Arthur who was one of the longest serving members of 47 years, holding a number of key roles in the running of the club from club captain, team captain and latterly treasurer, giving up the post at the end of last season. A truly wonderful gentleman, always so friendly and welcoming who hardly ever missed a club night. Arthur was also very competitive playing Lothian League matches, local and National Masters events and was one of the best returners of serve in Lothian if not Scotland. Arthur will be sorely missed.
The family have set up a Just Giving page for Motor Neurone Disease Scotland to raise awareness of this devastating disease.
Due to the current circumstances, Arthur’s funeral will be private but anyone can follow the service via webcast on Thursday 9th July at 12 using the details below.
