Our ambition is to be the biggest participation sport in the country, bringing people and communities together through Badminton. We are on an exciting journey to show that Badminton is a diverse sport for everyone and can be enjoyed at all levels from social and recreational play all the way through to performance.
Badminton Scotland are the national governing body for Badminton in Scotland. Our role is to increase participation, develop and support clubs plus accelerate the growth of the sport across the country. We are looking for the right person to join our committed Team to support, develop and deliver various competition opportunities for all our players. You will work with partner organisations, clubs and regional groups to develop competitions to ensure that badminton is open and accessible to everyone.
The Competition Co-ordinator will be responsible for overseeing the development of an effective competition infrastructure within club badminton across Scotland. This will include social and recreational play to inter club and national club/individual events. They will support the regional groups in the development of their respective competitions, including leagues and ladders.
The Competition Co-ordinator has a key role to play, working with partners and other organisations across the country to contribute to the overall Badminton Scotland strategy and deliver key activities to support this including:
- Devise and deliver an annual competition plan for social and recreational competitions, as well as, introducing/developing a national club event.
- Support Regional Groups and Clubs to develop local competition plans, leagues and ladders.
- Support the Head of Events deliver our National Championships and other National/International events.
- Support to the Engagement Team in development of new and existing resources.

Salary range is currently £24,544 to £29,702 dependant on relevant experience, with a generous annual leave entitlement, paid sick leave and access to a contributory pension scheme.
