• 9.30-11.30am primary age
• 11.30-1.30pm secondary age
• 1.30-4.30pm adult age

About Rita Yuan Gao

Rita had a successful career as an international badminton player representing Scotland, winning a Commonwealth Games Bronze Medal in 2002, reaching a career-high world ranking of number 18 in Women’s Singles and 7th in Women’s Doubles. Between 2000 – 2006 Won 65 Scottish International Caps and won 13 Scottish National titles (3 Women’s Singles, 7 Women’s Doubles and 2 Mixed Doubles)
Rita has been a badminton coach for over 10 years and has included roles in leading positions such as National Head Coach Switzerland and National Assistant Coach Scotland.  Rita has graduated MPhil at the University of Stirling, now she is studying a part-time Professional Doctorate at the University of Essex. Now Rita works for Badminton Scotland as a Regional Development Officer – Lothian & Borders area.
