Congrats to St. Andrews University BC for being rewarded with their Silver Shuttlemark Certificate

The Tayside & Fife RDO, Jane Russell, had the pleasure of presenting St Andrews University BC with their Silver Shuttlemark Certificate on Friday at their club night. The university have embraced the BADMINTONscotland accreditation scheme and it has helped them improve their club governance structures, helped them link in with the local community and schools plus give them ideas for funding and tournaments. Their membership figures have increased with the introduction of social teams playing in the local Dundee leagues. The badminton committee are keen to support charities and have run a couple of fundraising tournaments which have been popular with students and staff at the university. The committee don’t want to rest on their laurels though and are now looking to achieve the Gold Shuttlemark Award.
