Scottish rankings frozen until further notice

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak bringing to a halt the competitive badminton season, Badminton Scotland has decided to freeze the Scottish rankings until further notice.

This is in line with the approach taken by the Badminton World Federation. It is also consistent with the views of the BWF Athletes’ Commission and Badminton Scotland’s High Performance Coaches.

During this period of inactivity, Badminton Scotland will take steps to identify the best way of unfreezing the Scottish ranking system in a way which is as fair and equitable as possible.

It is currently difficult to predict what this process will be, but further information will be made available in due course.

In the meantime stay safe, be vigilant with hygiene and keep following official government advice.
