Shuttlemark Gold for Glasgow Badminton Academy!
Badminton Scotland are delighted to announce that Glasgow Badminton Academy (formerly Glasgow Chinese Badminton Club) have become the third club in Scotland to achieve the Gold Award as part of the Badminton Scotland Shuttlemark Club Accreditation Scheme.
GBA was one of the eight Pathway Clubs nominated as part of the programme when it launched back in 2018.
Positively impacting our sport
GBA are a competitive badminton club for juniors between the ages of 7 – 18. Their mission recognises the positive impact that badminton as a sport which celebrates diversity and inclusion and can have on bringing people and communities together. Their aim is to encourage players to work hard and enjoy themselves whilst creating long lasting bonds within the club.

The Shuttlemark programme
The aim of Shuttlemark is to help support clubs reflect on current practice and use the programme to further identify areas that may require improvement or need to be addressed. Further to this, our aim is to ensure that junior badminton clubs in particular are safe and welcoming environments for people in the community to participate in badminton.
