As National Junior Performance Network Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing a national programme to improve the quality and numbers of young athletes throughout Scotland with high performance potential.

Badminton Scotland is the governing body for the sport in Scotland. Its role is to develop participation, memberships and performance, and accelerate the growth of the sport across the country. A key part of the performance agenda is recognising and developing potential high performance athletes from the early stages in their careers. Badminton Scotland is developing and changing its National Junior Performance network programme and is now looking to appoint an experienced individual to lead it.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing a national programme to improve the quality and numbers of young athletes throughout Scotland with high performance potential. A key element of this will be identifying and supporting the development of suitably qualified and experienced coaches.

The programme must comply with the physical and technical standards required of Badminton Scotland’s high-performance strategy as well as complying with all regulatory requirements relating to young people. It must also reflect current good international practice and comply with Badminton World Federation standards.

The successful candidate must be able to identify and engage with potential high-performance athletes, oversee the delivery of plans appropriate to individual age groups and ensure rigorous records are maintained that track the development of individual athletes.
