Welcome Kevin Scott, Badminton Scotland’s new Chairperson

We would like to say a very warm welcome to Kevin Scott who has been appointed as Badminton Scotland’s new Chair.

As our new Chair, Kevin will lead the Board over the next 4-year cycle to oversee strategy, including the transformation of our membership and build on the diversity and inclusion within our sport.

Kevin has a distinguished career in business and badminton, having competed for Scotland at International level at major events including World Championships, European Championships, Commonwealth Games and Thomas Cup.

Kevin has also worked very successfully in senior executive Director positions in two of the UK and Europe’s leading Fund Management companies and led teams across the UK, Europe and Asia.

In addition to his Board experience in business, Kevin was a Director of Badminton Europe from 2011 to 2017.

Kevin tells us: “I am delighted to have accepted the Badminton Scotland Chair role and I look forward to working with the Board and many others in helping to take the game that we love forward”.

Badminton Scotland President Carolyn Young added: “We look forward to welcoming Kevin into the Badminton Scotland team and have no doubt that he will hit the ground running in his new role. Frank Turnbull has done a fantastic job in the interim Chair role for over a year and we are confident that Kevin will help us in the next stage of the development of Badminton in Scotland”.
