The Sir Craig Reedie Badminton Centre (SCRBC) is located in Govan at 12 Bogmoor Place, Glasgow G51 4TQ, close to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The centre has six badminton courts, changing facilities and shop, and has served the badminton community since 1980, when Sir Craig Reedie originally identified the former paint factory as an ideal location for a new sports facility.
In 2014, thanks to a £150,000 grant from sportscotland, the national agency for sport, and a £50,000 award from Biffa, the facility underwent a major refurbishment which included a new high-performance sprung floor, state-of-the-art competition lighting and new improved changing and shower facilities.
Originally called the Cockburn Centre, it was renamed to the Sir Craig Reedie Badminton Centre following the refurbishments in honour of the man who drove the original project forward.
