The Oban Doubles Tournament is back for its second consecutive year, offering badminton enthusiasts an exciting opportunity to engage in competitive play and enjoy the camaraderie of the sport. With a rich history of attracting players from Argyll and Bute, last year’s tournament saw former and current local players dominating the semi-finals and finals, with one former local player securing victories in both the Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles events. This year, the tournament will maintain its successful format, featuring a round-robin first stage guaranteeing each participant three matches per event. Drawing players from across Scotland, including Aberdeen, the Highlands, the Western Isles, and the Central Belt, alongside local talents from various counties, the Oban Doubles Tournament promises an exhilarating weekend of badminton action and community spirit.
