Badminton Scotland and City of Glasgow Badminton Club are inviting ambitious young players to attend the upcoming Regional Pathway Programme (RPP) Trial.
📍 Venue: Glasgow School of Sport
📅 Date: Saturday 9 May
⏰ Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Age range – 8 – 11-year-old
The RPP forms a key stage of the Badminton Scotland Pathway, supporting players aged 8–18 in developing the technical, tactical, physical and personal competencies required for long-term performance success.
The programme is built around our TICE principles:
Teamwork. Intensity. Consistency. Effort.
The RPP provides:
- A squad centred, structured performance training environment
• Clear technical and tactical progression
• Increased training expectations
• Alignment with national pathway standards
• Preparation for National Pathway Programme opportunities
This trial is suitable for players who:
• Demonstrate strong commitment and ambition
• Are ready to train with greater intensity and purpose
Players will be assessed on:
- Coachability, mindset and attitude
- Movement and physical qualities
• Tactical awareness
• Technical fundamentals
