Development Activities at 4 Nations Para Badminton International

Throughout the 4 Nations Para Badminton International event taking place at the Emirates Arena from the 19th – 23rd June, Badminton Scotland will also be hosting a number of free development activities to encourage greater participation of disabled people in badminton. All participants will also gain access to the main venue to watch the tournament.

Disability Badminton Festival

  • Wednesday 19th & Thursday 20th June
  • 10am-12pm
  • Ages: 8-17

The Disability Badminton Festival is about providing opportunities for young people with a physical, learning, visual or hearing impairment, to try badminton. Using adaptive equipment, you will be able to learn badminton skills & play some fun games. Sign-up here.

Adult Disability Open Session

  • Friday 21st June
  • 10am-12pm
  • Ages: 18+

This session is about providing opportunities for disabled people (18+) to come and try badminton in a welcoming environment. There will be the chance for participants to get some coaching tips, as well as use the time and space for open play. Sign-up here.

Disability Coaching Workshop

  • Saturday 22nd June
  • 10am-1pm
  • Ages: 16+

The course will provide participants with the knowledge and understanding of disability badminton coaching, and it will aim to demonstrate that coaching disabled people can challenge us in a similar way as all other types of coaching. On completing the workshop participants will have all the tools necessary to work successfully in this field. Sign-up here.
