Meldrum Targets Main Draw in Riga
10th June 2025 by Robert McLean
This week, Senior Squad player Angus Meldrum is looking to continue his recent run of strong performances as he competes at the Victor Latvia International Future Series Event, which kicks off tomorrow in the Latvian capital of Riga. After some impressive wins at his last outing in Germany, Angus will be aiming to go at least one round further this time around.
Due to a large number of entrants in the men’s singles category, Angus’ opponent is yet to be confirmed. He enters the draw in the round of 64 qualifying and will face the winner of one of the earlier round of 128 qualifying matches.
Also representing this week is Malik Clowes, who is making the step up from junior-level events. Although not part of the senior squad, Malik is eager to make an impact on the international stage. He is scheduled to face Poland’s Adam Winciaszek (world ranked 1802) in their qualifying round of 128 match on Court 2, with the match set to begin at 11:45am tomorrow.
