Carolyn Young | Meet The Team | Badminton Scotland

Colin Campbell

President

I grew up in the Black Isle in a badminton family where I started playing at the age of 10. Since then, badminton has been a huge part of my life, having played the game from junior through to masters age group. For many years, I have been heavily involved as a volunteer, organising and refereeing tournaments and fulfilling the treasurer role for Lothian Group. Both my sons have also played the sport at international level.

It is a huge honour to be following in the footsteps of my brother Ian, as President of Badminton Scotland. I hope that I will be able to help the sport grow in participation and popularity over the next few years.

Aileen Travers

Vice President

I have played badminton since I was 12 years of age and still continue to play veterans events as I still really enjoy competing.

I have been involved in local clubs and committees for many years now and as I retire soon from my dental business I hope to be able to give more time back to the game I love and help the sport expand and develop.
